Show Cause Notice for violation of the Terms and Conditions of Supply of Electricity (vide clause 96 (1) of the Terms and Conditions of Supply of Electricity)

2. The following violation(s) of the Terms and Conditions of Supply of Electricity in your service connection have been reported:-

3. you are hereby called upon to stop the violation(s) and also remove the equipments causing the above violation(s) within 24 hours/seven days from the time of receipt of this notice. If you fail to do so, the service connection under reference will be disconnected.

4. You are also hereby called upon to show cause within seven days from the date of receipt of this letter as to why compensation charges for the above violation(s) in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Supply of Electricity will be taken.

5. If no reply is received from you with reference to para 3 above within the time stipulated or if your reply is found not convincing, further action to levy the compensation charges as per the Terms and Conditions of Supply of Electricity will be taken.

6. You are requested to acknowledge receipt of this notice immediately.

to arrange to serve the notice on the consumer with dated acknowledgement and send the acknowledgement to this office.

To disconnect the service connection in case the violation continues even after the *24 hours/seven days notice is received by the consumer; and

To report the disconnection to this office and also to the Revenue Branch concerned;

If, after disconnection, the consumer removes the equipment causing violation, the service connection should be reconnected after collecting the reconnection charges.
