Bill payment places

The power supply charges shall normally be paid at the following offices:

a) LT Consumers:

The bill payment by all the LT Consumers shall only be made at the respective jurisdictional designated bill collection counters. The bill in original shall be presented for making the payment and the payment shall be made in cash.

The LT consumers shall also make the payment by means of Cheque at the specially designated bill counters for that purpose. The Cheque shall be drawn from any Nationalised/scheduled commercial bank situated at the headquarters of the office of the bill. In order to make the payment by means of Cheque, the consumer should have obtained prior written permission from the officer who had issued the bill. Payment by means of Cheque without written permission shall not be accepted.

b) HT Consumers:

The payment by HT consumers shall be made either by way of Demand Draft/Cheque or cash at the Office of the Senior Accounts Officer/HT Section for Puducherry region, Office of the Executive Engineer/Karaikal for Karaikal region, Office of the Assistant Engineer/Mahe for Mahe region and Office of the Assistant Engineer/Yanam for Yanam region. The Demand draft shall be drawn on any Nationalised/scheduled commercial bank situated at the headquarters of the office of the bill. The Consumer name, Policy Number and Month of Bill shall be clearly indicated in the reverse of the Demand Draft. In order to make the payment by means of Cheque, the consumer should have obtained prior written permission from the Senior Accounts Officer/HT Section, Puducherry. Payment by means of Cheque without written permission shall not be accepted.
