This is to inform you that before 6 months (almost from April 2025), in our street due to non-functioning of streetlight till date 2 motor bikes were theft. Also, youngsters drinking alcohol and creating nuisance since it is dark. Also, there is one unused lighting pole near to my house. It had complained to EB toll free number 18004251912 and Lawspet Electricity JE (9489080363) several times and no action was taken. Instead, Lawspet JE replied that " there is no Streetlights in stock".

Hence, we complained to AE over the handset and the streetlight was fixed the very next day, but it was positioned 120 degree away (just opposite), so that still no light in our street.

We are regularly paying our EB bills without fail every month but struggling due to darkness in the street. there is no safety for us as well as for our belongings, due to improper positioning of streetlight. The same was communicated to Lawspet JE but no action was taken till date. instead, Lawspet JE replying that "They do not have enough manpower to just turn the light"

Regarding this already made an online complaint (ID: 30093 - pedservices.py.gov.in/Complaints) on Puducherry EB portal and still no actions. the screenshot of the complaint is attached herewith for your reference. If we have to struggle this much only for "one streetlight" where is the quality of the service provided by Puducherry EB?

Hence, I kindly requesting your high self to do the needful at the earliest to position the streetlight properly or to fix new light in the unused pole near my house so that proper lighting is available in our street to ensure our safety.
