UNDERGROUND CABLE FAULT AT LINE NO 01-02-01-0034 LOCATED AT NO. 38 DUMAS STREET, PONDICHERRY-1, WHITE TOWN.

Dear Sir,

I am the owner of the property located at No. 38 Dumas Street, Pondicherry-1 and the said line stands in my name.

With regards to the above mentioned line there is a fault with an underground cable and it seems to have been damaged/broken.

The fault began on the evening of 28th December, 2025 and the next morning (29th) a gentleman from EB Dept. Venkata Nagar, Pondicherry came to examine the said smart meter stating there was a possible fault. It seemed the meter was functioning well and he left.

Thereafter same afternoon another gentlemen from EB Dept Main office, one Mr. Selvakumar (97896 67055) came to my premises to check the line and he advised there is an underground fault and to seek help from a private electrician to take a temporary connection.

Both Mr. Selvakumar and the young man from Venkatanagar were not called by me and I do not know how they came without any complaint from myself?

Thereafter. I called a private electrician to come to the premises and Mr.Dilip (private electrician) made a temporary connection with respect to a portion of the property. Mr. Dilip also advised me there was an underground cable fault and to contact the EB dept.

Hence, I request EB dept. To help me rectify the problem with respect to the above mentioned connection.
