Yanam Region - Power Scenario & Availability

The Yanam region has two sub-stations which meets the power demand of the outlying region of Yanam in the U.T. of Puducherry.

The 132/33-11 KV  Sub-Station at Mettacur presently has  2 numbers of 10 MVA Power Transformers of ratio 132/11 KV and 1 number of 16 MVA Power Transformer of ratio 132/33 KV. The sub-station was built and commissioned during the year 1996.

The 33/11 KV Sub-Station at Adavipolem presently has 2 numbers of 5 MVA Power Transformers of ratio 33/11 KV. 

The above sub-stations feed major industrial consumers in addition to domestic and commercial consumers.
