I am the registered consumer for SC No: 0313020232. On March 12, 2026, I applied for temporary disconnection and a temporary connection meter (Letter submitted on 16 Mar 2026) for construction purpose.

Despite submitting the Form - B notice issued by the Puducherry Municipality, the local JE office (located in Perumal Koil street) has verbally refused the request, citing the 'basic needs' of an illegal encroacher.

Please note:
There is no court order preventing this disconnection.
The building is a dilapidated structure and a live electricity connection poses a severe safety hazard to the public and the occupants.
As the registered consumer, I have the right to terminate/change my service category.

I request immediate processing of my application. The department is hereby notified of its sole liability for any electrical accidents or fire hazards occurring on this premises due to this refusal.
